MAN WITH BEARD
Man With Beard is the first film by director Abie Axen. As the name implies, it follows the story of a man with a beard. This was a fun opportunity to shoot a bizarre comedy that was both surreal and naturalist at the same time.
We decided fairly early on that this needed to be shot anamorphic. After a lot of lens testing we landed on the Cooke Anamorphic/i's. Even though it is a comedy, it needed a special look to create the proper tone, and the anamorphic look turned out to be a great fit.
Man With Beard has been an official selection at Cinequest and the Portland Film Festival.
